Life Grant for ChoiceOne
As reported at the March 15th Voters Meeting our Sisters in Mission had joined with Pastor Erhart and the congregation at Lutheran Church of the Messiah in Princeton, NJ, in applying for a matching funds LCMS Life Grant, offered by our synod. If awarded the synod would match up to $5,000. The intent is to lend support to ChoiceOne Pregnancy Resource Center in Lawrenceville by providing many items necessary for newborn babies. We rejoice that the grant has been APPROVED!
The Sisters in Mission had originally committed to contributing $500 toward the grant. We raised some of these funds by organizing and providing food for the 6 Lenten Suppers. We will have a special offering on Sunday, May 24th, to help boost the amount we have to contribute. For those who give electronically, you will see a screenshot below of how you must click on Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, fill in the dollar amount you want to give, and type in the words ChoiceOne to the right. This will assure these funds go to this particular mission.
Thank you in advance for your generosity. Stay tuned…This project’s timeframe will run from August 1st -October 31st of this year. There will be opportunities to assist in other than monetary ways.
